High School Education in Canada

Why High School Education in Canada?
World-Class Education Quality: Canada consistently ranks among the top countries in the world in PISA rankings. The curriculum encourages students to think critically, research, and apply knowledge rather than just memorize facts.
A Safe and Peaceful Environment: Canada is one of the most livable, safest, and most tolerant countries in the world. Safety, the top priority for families, is firmly established in Canada.
English and French: A student attending high school in Canada can learn English at a native level while also acquiring French (one of the official languages) as a second language. This provides them with a significant advantage in the global business world.
Globally Recognized Diploma: The Canadian High School Diploma is recognized and respected by universities around the world. Graduates can easily apply to prestigious universities not only in Canada but also in the US, UK, and Europe.
A Major Advantage in University Admission: High school graduation in Canada provides a significant advantage, particularly for admission to Canadian universities. Students can apply directly based on their high school grade point average (GPA) and language proficiency, without having to go through an intense and stressful exam marathon like in Turkey.

How Does the Canadian High School Education System Work?
Education in Canada is managed by the provinces, but the general structure is similar:
Duration: High school education is generally 4 years (from 9th to 12th grade).
Credit System: Students must successfully complete a certain number of courses (credits) in order to graduate. This system allows students to take elective courses according to their interests.
Flexible and Elective Courses: Unlike in Turkey, students can take courses in dozens of different fields such as art, sports, information technology, engineering, and business. This is an excellent opportunity for career exploration at an early age.

Application Process and Requirements
Language Proficiency: Not required at the outset. Students may be accepted and participate in intensive English support programs (ESL) during their first year of school even if their language proficiency is insufficient.
Transcript: The student's transcript and course success in Turkey are evaluated.
Preliminary Interview: A preliminary interview can be held online with our consultants.
